NETHERLANDS Visa Document Requirements

 

Please read the visa requirements carefully and follow the exact requirements to ensure all necessary documents are submitted correctly. Adhering to these guidelines will help avoid any delays in the processing of your visa application.

 

Applications should be submitted in person (also babies and children) and the following documents must be submitted:

  • For every document, you must provide the original and one copy.
  • The documents are to be presented in (or translated to) Dutch, English, French or Spanish.
  • The documents submitted will not be returned. Only the travel document will be returned
  • Two recent Colored Photos Passport Sized 
    • Facial Expression: Must not be smiling, showing teeth, or any exaggerated facial expressions.
    • Background: White background is required.
    • Clothing: Should contrast with the white background.
    • Quality: The photo should be polarized printed at the photo company.
    • Hair: If the person has long hair, it should be pulled back behind the ears.
    • Accessories: No accessories should be worn in the photo.
    • Composition: The photo should capture the individual from the upper breast area to the upper part of the head, ensuring that the shoulders are fully visible and not cut off.
    • Requirements: The photo must meet the requirements for both hard copy and soft copy submissions

Application

  • A completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
  • Travel Documents
  • Valid Passport and previous passports if available.
    • Note that the valid passport must have at least six months validity before its expiration date and must have the owner's signature on the first and second biopages.
  • A copy of all pages of the passport
  • If travelling with spouse and/or
    • Marriage contract certified by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
    • Birth certificates of children certified by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  • If applying for a minor
    • If travelling alone or with only one parent: written consent of the non-travelling parent/legal guardian or proof of sole custody of the travelling parent or legal guardian
    • If the name of the father does not appear in the PSA issued birth certificate, no consent is required
    • Copy of bio data page of parent(s) or legal guardian’s passport
    • Birth certificate certified by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
    • If travelling alone: Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) clearance

Evidence of legal residence

  • For non-Filipino applicants who have valid residence status in the Philippines:
    • Copy of Alien Certificate Registration (ACR) valid at least three months beyond the date of departure from the territory of the Member States.

Proof of financial means

  • Bank certification, bank books, personal bank statements showing regular income, credit card statements or balance covering the last six months.
  • For minors: Proof of parents’ or legal guardian’s economic means (cf. the above)

Proof of travel
Note: make travel reservations which you can cancel, in case your visa request will be refused

  • Copy of the travel itin
  • Detailed day-to-day itinerary of the planned trip.
  • Proof of accommodation: confirmation of hotel booking, hotel voucher or letter of promise of accommodation by the host 

Proof of ties in the Philippines

  • Proof of social security contributions (if relevant)
  • Copy of real estate property - title-deed (if relevant)
  • Proof of family ties in the Philippines (e.g birth certificate of children or marriage certificate). These certificates should be issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

Proof of occupation

  • if employed:
    • Certificate of employment
    • Certificate of leave absence
    • Latest Income Tax Return
  • if self-employed:
    • Proof of company registration issued by the Department of Trade Industry (DTI)/ Security Exchange Commission SEC registration of business.
    • Latest Income Tax Return
    • Business Financial Statement
  • if pupil or students:
    • Proof of enrolment
    • Certificate of leave absence if travelling during school year
  • Proof of health insurance
    • the insurance policy has been taken out of your name
    • Your insurance is valid throughout the Schengen area and for the duration of your stay.
    • At least € 30.000 of medical costs are reimbursed, including hospital care, emergency treatment and repatriation (including in the event of death). 

If your insurer will not provide an official document of this nature, you should take out travel insurance with appropriate medical coverage for this trip with one that does


Visa

  • A visa, residence permit or passport which gives entry to your final destination after your visit to the Schengen area

Payment

  • Payment of the visa fee
